Formerly known as the Regional Design Awards, the PRINT Awards focus on global inclusion, new exclusive categories that highlight design activism and the latest creative technology, and continue to highlight talented student work.

PRINT Awards 2020 Call for entries now open

In 1980, the PRINT Regional Design Awards competition was launched to show that outstanding design is not limited to New York City and can be found in all regions of New York The United States. Now, 40 years later, this prestigious award program recognizes and celebrates outstanding design at home and abroad.

Throughout its 40-year history, awards have been rated by US design leaders. This year's exceptional jury continues to consist of leading US votes and offers the same level of expertise from judges from around the world. The PRINT Awards 2020 jury consists of 21 members who bring in different insights and perspectives from many cultures. The judges work in teams tailored to their areas of expertise to assess specific categories, including illustration and font design, editing, branding and photography, data visualization and motion design, and more. This year the PRINT Awards also launch a completely new category: the PRINT Citizen Design Award. Designers have always been at the forefront of critical thinking about issues of social justice, community intervention, sustainability, and human rights across issues and borders. This award, inspired by designers' dedication to addressing major issues this year, has been added to recognize this work and celebrate design activism. To ensure that everyone can participate, there is no entry fee in this category, nor is there a limit to the number of entries that can be submitted.

The PRINT Awards 2020 program is presented by Adobe Dimension. Inspired by the innovation and authenticity of the PRINT Awards, Adobe is proud to be the first sponsor of this competition. Adobe believes everyone has a story to tell and knows that it is becoming increasingly important to create a sense of community and well-being while increasing positivity and celebrating creativity. To this end, the new Adobe Dimension Design Award will encourage participants to use Creative Cloud software, Adobe Dimension and 3D to create a unique design piece in the form of a poster, web banner, or marketing piece for print, web, or digital channels .

The winners of the PRINT Awards are selected based on originality, innovation, execution and consistency, while the Citizen Design category is based on originality, clarity, execution and impact. The PRINT Awards 2020 Best of Show, Agency of the Year, Editor & # 39; s Choice, Citizen Design Award, Adobe Dimension Design Award and winners of first, second and third place in all categories are presented on PRINTmag.com and receive custom trophies for Top winners or a certificate created by Debbie Millman.

The submission deadline for PRINT Awards expires July 30 to October 16, 2020with escalating prices over four entry periods. Tuition fees are limited for the entire registration period and participation in the Citizen Design Award and the Adobe Dimension Design Award is free of charge.
